EIS is with you every step of the way from diagnosis to entry into care.
EIS provides services for clients who are newly diagnosed with HIV/AIDS; people who are new to the Detroit Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA); people who have lost medical care for a period of 6 months or greater. EIS responsibility is to aid in the access to services by providing clients with linkage to medical and supportive care services.
We also advocate on behalf of our clients to meet their specific needs in areas such as:
- Medical Treatment
- Case Management
- ACA Insurance Navigation/(Assistance)
- Mental Health & Addiction Services
- Nutrition Counseling/ Food Bank
- Housing/Financial Assistance
- Clinic Facilitation & Coordination
We also participate in outreach prevention programs in the community where we provide information about HIV/AIDS Health Education/ Risk Reduction, importance of maintaining medical care, STI’s, and the dangers of Drugs and Alcohol. Too many clients live with HIV/AIDS and are not taking advantage of the services available to maintain their health. EIS can help providers quickly link clients to HIV/AIDS specific care and services.
